He has a horrible comb over and is teased for it.
Despite being known as a great basketball coach, he played football for Kansas State. Kansas State was awful when he played for them.
He is a great coach on a lower prestige team.
Some people know him more for his hair than his coaching ability.
He has yet to win a National Title, let alone make a Final Four.
His Boilermakers have been foiled 3 times in the Elite Eight round.
His final season at Purdue was a disastrous 7-21.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is able to poke fun at himself.
He is proud of his comb over haircut.
He is best friends with Eddie Sutton, Kelvin Sampson, Dick Vitale, and many other coaches.
He has a winning record against Bobby Knight!
He is loyal to Purdue University, staying there for 24+ years and winning 500+ games with them.
