Why she might be annoying:

The 67 pieces of Carrara Italian marble used to create the Christ of Havana were blessed by Pope Pius XII.
The statue's unveiling occurred a mere 2 weeks before fall of the Fulgencio Batista regime.
The same day Fidel Castro came to power, a lightning bolt hit the statue's head, destroying it.
It was later repaired.

The Christ of Havana is one of the city's most popular tourist sites.
Her sculptures were shown throughout Europe and North America.
She broke barriers for women sculptors.
She suffered from glaucoma later in life.
