World Leader

The Resume

    (February 12, 1942- )
    Born in Mishmar HaSharon, Israel
    Birth name was Ehud Brog
    Israeli general and politician
    Chief of General Staff (1991-95)
Leader of the Israeli Labour Party (1997-2001, 2007-11)
    Prime Minister of Israel (1999-2001)

Why he might be annoying:

He made multiple retirements from and returns to politics.
He said, 'If I was a Palestinian at the right age, I would have joined one of the terrorist organizations at a certain stage.' (1998)
His Camp David Summit with Bill Clinton and Yasser Arafat failed to produce an agreement (2000).
Asked how the talks at Camp David were going, he replied, 'If I have to summarize the situation in one word, it's good. In two words, not good.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He led a commando raid on hijacked Sabena Flight 571 that freed the passengers and captured or killed the hijackers (May 9, 1972).
He, Major Amitai Hanson and Captain Nechemya Cohen jointly hold the distinction of being the most-decorated soldiers in the Israeli Defense Force.
He fulfilled a pledge to end the Israeli occupation of southern Lebanon within a year of his election.
He noted that continuing Israel control of the West Bank and Gaza 'leads, necessarily, to either a non-democratic or a non-Jewish state. Because if the Palestinians vote, then it is a binational state, and if they can't vote, it is an apartheid state.'
