Why he might be annoying:

    He has a very generic name.
    Before attending Delaware State, he had a failed walk-on attempt at Johnson C. Smith University.
    He was largely overshadowed by Jerry Rice.
    He guided the 49ers to the playoffs as the NFC top seed team only to suffer with an upset loss to the Minnesota Vikings in his first NFL season.
    He admitted in an interview that he used cocaine in 1988.

    He set the NCAA yards/catch average record with 24.3 until Jerome Mathis recorded a 26.4 yards/catch average.
    He caught the winning touchdown in the final seconds of Super Bowl XXIII.
    Until Super Bowl 50, he held the Super Bowl record for the longest punt-return with a 45 yard return.
    He is the Super Bowl record holder for combined total punt return yards with 94.
    He has his own truck company after retiring from football.
    He is involved in several celebrity golf tournaments.
