    He looked like John Carroll Lynch.
    He took out a mortgage on his home in order to finance the establishment of the Celtics franchise.
    He was bigoted towards Koreans at the height of the Korean War.
    He went as far as denying Koreans the opportunity of participating in the 1951 Boston Marathon.
    He was extremely short-tempered at times.

    He was described as being honest and upfront when it came to his players.
    He wasn't afraid to be bold when he broke the NBA's color barrier by drafting and signing Chuck Cooper to a contract.
    He was credited with initiating the merger between the BAA and NBL, which led to the founding of the modern NBA.
    In addition to his role of founding the Celtics, he is credited for his role in making ice hockey relevant in the northeastern United States.
    He guided the U.S. men's hockey team to its first gold medal at the IIHF World Championships (1933).
    He oversaw the Celtics win the franchise's first seven NBA championships.
    He was inducted in both the Basketball and Hockey Hall of Fames, for his contributions in both sports.
