Why they might be annoying:

Most, if not all, members smoke like chimneys, even while performing.
The band originally started under the gimmick that D. Wayne Love was an acid house evangelist and Larry Love and the rest of the bands were converts.
Even members of the band have said that they don't find the comedy of the band's stage personas particularly funny.
Confusingly, Larry Love calls himself Robbie Love when he does solo work.
They are widely considered a one-hit wonder, and the members make it very clear that they're bitter about this.
Some fans have complained that the members are rude or dismissive to talk to after shows.
Despite their name, the members are all British and there are more than three of them.
They sampled Jim Jones and one of his followers for 'Mao Tse Tung Said.'

Why they might not be annoying:

They call their music 'country acid house,' and their sound is unique.
Legendary train robber Bruce Richard Reynolds called them 'the best fucking outlaw band there is today.'
They named themselves in keeping with protest groups/defendants such as the Seattle Seven, the Birmingham Six, the Watergate Seven, or the Quincy Five.
They are still finding new ways to arrange 'Woke Up This Morning.'
Despite only being widely known for one song, they've had at least half a dozen of their other songs appear on soundtracks for movies or as background music in TV shows.
Rock Freebase goes out of his way to interact with fans, talking with them after shows, being a regular on a fansite's message board and commenting on the band's YouTube videos.
When they work with other musicians, the band is good about promoting and endorsing them long after.
They worked with The Proclaimers on 'Sweet Joy.'
Jake Black's real voice has an extremely thick Scottish accent, yet he has an incredibly convincing 'American' voice.
A few members of the band have done impromptu shows on a whim.
They've shared the stage with Stephen King and Mick Jones.
'Woke Up This Morning' was originally about a woman who endured 20 years of spousal abuse that ended with her killing her husband.
