Why The Jon Stewart Show might be annoying:

Jon Stewart was passed over for Conan O'Brien as David Letterman's replacement for an NBC gig before creating this show.
The comedy trope, The State destroyed the show's set on the last episode aired on MTV.
Its run on Syndication was short-lived.
Marilyn Manson set a bible on fire during his band's performance on the show (June 22, 1995).
The Manson incident resulted in Paramount Domestic Television telling Jon Stewart to 'get (his) shit and get out' on the last day of its run on Syndication with David Letterman as the show's final guest (June 23, 1995).

Why The Jon Stewart Show might not be annoying:

It made Jon Stewart a big star on MTV.
It was among one of MTV's hit shows, along with 'Beavis and Butthead.'
It brought in musical guests that were ignored by network-TV talk shows including Van Halen, Sinéad O'Connor, Faith No More, the Crash Test Dummies, 'Wierd Al' Yankovic, The Notorious B.I.G. and Face to Face.
On the last episode, Letterman advised Stewart, 'Cancellation should not be confused with failure.'
Madeleine Smithberg, one of the show's producers went on to be the co-creator of 'The Daily Show' on Comedy Central.
It motivated Jon Stewart's talk show skills to succeed Craig Kilborn to become a long-time host of 'The Daily Show.'
