The Resume

    (March 19, 1960- )
    Born in Switzerland
Portrayed Elaine Peacock in EastEnders (2014-17)
Performed in London productions of 'Sunday in the Park with George' (1990), 'Passion' (1996), 'Chicago' (1998) and 'Ragtime' (2003)
Sang the role of the narrator in the 1999 straight to video version of 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat'

Why she might be annoying:

    She is divorced.
She was the mother and grandmother on EastEnders despite there not being a huge age difference between herself and the leads (in Kellie Bright's case, they're 16 years apart).
Despite a decades long career in the theatre, she is known almost exclusively as the singing Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
She likely only got the gig because the role's originator - Laurie Beechman - had died the year prior after losing a long battle with ovarian cancer.

Why she might not be annoying:

She is an eight-time Olivier Award nominee, with three wins.
Her first win was for her 1994 one-woman show, 'By Special Arrangement.'
She was diagnosed with breast cancer 18 days before she was due in 'The Woman in White' on Broadway (November 2005).
She had a Lumpectomy two days after the discovery and was fit for the stage.
She played the Mother Superior in the iTV Live version of The Sound of Music in 2015.
She is basically the heart and soul of the Joseph musical - providing it with its warm, almost dreamlike, quality as the Narrator.
