Why she might be annoying:

What's the story behind that middle name?
When she married her husband at age 21, she quit her job as an insurance office manager to become a homemaker.
She outlived her husband by 34 years.
One of her passions was watching golf on television.
If she just could have lived two days longer, she would have been one of the very few people to have lived in three centuries.

Why she might not be annoying:

She learned to sew at age 4 and was a superior seamstress, creating her own wedding dress.
She was married to her husband for 64 years until his 1965 death.
Her only child, Kathryn (who lived to be 101 herself), said of her mother's long life, 'She's a very tranquil person and nothing fazes her. That's why she's living this long.'
Asked at age 115 if she enjoyed her long life, she stated, 'I enjoy it because I have my health and I can do things.'
From Rutherford B. Hayes to Bill Clinton, she was alive when 23 different U.S. Presidents took office.
Upon her death, Pennsylvania state senator Charlie Dent, who attended her 115th birthday in 1995, said 'Mrs. Knauss was an extraordinary woman who pushed the outer limits of longevity. This is a sad occasion, but she certainly had an eventful life.'
She became the second-oldest fully documented person ever, behind France's Jeanne-Louise Calment, and the oldest person ever of the western hemisphere.
