Why he might be annoying:

    His website is nothing but plugs for his merchandise and wrestling school.
    He never dresses formally, even at black tie events, and he’s almost always wearing a T-shirt and a baseball hat.
    Although both he and his brother Terry are considered wrestling legends, his brother seems to get more credit and attention than Dory does and younger fans have no idea who Dory is.
    His WWE career was short and for the most part forgettable and he didn’t even use his name, it was changed to ‘Hoss Funk.’

Why he might not be annoying:

    His NWA Title reign lasted 4 years, one of the longest reigns in the history of the title.
    He’s one of the first and few American wrestlers to make it big in Japan, both as a singles star and in a tag team with his brother, Terry.
    Although his father, Dory Sr., was a famous wrestler, trainer and promoter, he never relied on his family name to gain favor from promoters.
    He’s as respected as a trainer as he is a wrestler.
    His wrestling school has produced some of today’s best talent like The Hardy Boys, Lita, Edge, Christian and Kurt Angle.
    His match with Harley Race was named Match of the Year in PWI in 1973 and he won it again the next year for his match with Jack Brisco.
    He’s a member of the Wrestling-Observer Hall of Fame.
