Why he might be annoying:

He said that on Conan he did 'a lot of fat guy in his underwear stuff.'
At his SNL audition, he did Turtle from Entourage and Hurley from Lost: 'They weren't impressions so much as they were chubby dudes with beards that I resembled.'
He said his worst impression on SNL was Alfred Hitchcock: 'I start off okay, then I sound like Lorne.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He almost was hired for SNL after his first audition (2007), but the Writers Guild went on strike delaying the season and by the time the strike was over Maya Rudolph had left the show, prompting the producers to hire a female comic to fill the gap.
He described himself as a 'Lost geek' and wore a Dharma Initiative jumpsuit during the sign-off of the episode hosted by John Hamm.
He was a fan of SNL growing up and said, 'If I'm not in the show, I go down to the studio and watch because I feel so lucky I'm able to be in the building.'
