Why he might be annoying:

    He was the only player out of the 18 starting players of the 1934 All-Star Game who is not a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame.
    He was the NL leader for being 77 times in the 1933 season.
    He was the NL leader for committing 17 errors as an outfielder with 17 (1935).
    He had a shoulder injury in 1936, resulting in him having limited playing time in the later stages of his major league playing career.
    He went hitless in his two World Series appearances (1937 and 1939).

Why he might not be annoying:

    He played high school baseball with future Baseball Hall of Famer Joe Cronin.
    He held a major league record for home runs as a rookie with 38 for 57 years until Mark McGwire overtook it with 49 in the 1987 season.
    He also held a record for the most RBI as a NL rookie with 119 until Albert Pujols surpassed it with 130 in the 2001 season.
    He appeared on the Wheaties cereal box.
    He was the 7th player in the NL to record over 200 career home runs.
    He hit the most home runs in Braves Field history with 105.
