Why she might be annoying:

She was nicknamed ‘Jaye P.' after banker J. P. Morgan while serving as high school class treasurer.
She was fired from ‘The Gong Show' after flashing the cameras.
Even before that, the censors had been editing out her comments as much as ten times an episode.
A pilot for a talk show she hosted featuring ladies in lingerie and swim wear was considered too bawdy for TV.

Why she might not be annoying:

She has a husky singing voice.
She reinvented her image from a wholesome singer in the 50s to an irreverent and racy game show regular in the 70s.
Footage of her topless was included in ‘The Gong Show Movie.'
