The Resume

    (1988-1995)
    Born in Brooklyn, New York
Chip Fu (Roderick Roachford), Moc Fu (Joseph A. Jones) and Poc Fu (Lennox Maturine)
Recorded the albums 'F.U. Don't Take It Personal' (1992) and 'Nervous Breakdown' (1994)
Recorded the singles 'Ring the Alarm' (1991), 'La Shmoove' (1992), 'What's Up Doc? (Can We Rock?)' (with Shaquille O'Neal< 1993), and 'Breakdown' (1994)

Why they might be annoying:

The 'Fu' part of their name means 'for unity' (because what else could it stand for?), while 'Schnickens' was a made-up word meaning 'coalition.'
'What's Up Doc?' was supposed to feature Bug Bunny saying the titular catchphrase, but Warner Brothers refused permission to use the sample.
The logical choice to replace Bugs Bunny on a record? Shaquille O'Neal, obviously.
When 'What's Up Doc?' crossed over to the pop Top 40, who would have guessed that it was the basketball player who would make a return appearance?

Why they might not be annoying:

Shaq had called them his favorite hip hop group before they collaborated together.
They were among the rappers who performed on the final episode of 'The Arsenio Hall Show.'
They were dropping references to martial arts films and Asian culture before Wu Tang Clan.
AllMusic described their fast-paced tongue-twisting raps as 'marvels of technical achievement on the mic.'
