Doctor

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He pleaded guilty to bank fraud and conspiracy charges related to laundering money for his daughter (1994).
The California Medical Board put him on probation for a year and reprimanded him for 'dishonesty' and 'unprofessional conduct.'
He said he could be 'convinced either way' on whether HIV causes AIDS.
The Medical Board investigated him for 'gross negligence' in the death from AIDS of Eliza Scovill, the three-year-old daughter of AIDS denialist Christine Maggiore.
He went against standard medical practice by not testing Scovill for HIV, despite Maggiore having AIDS.
The investigation was eventually settled with Fleiss admitting to failing to keep proper records and agreeing to regular reviews by an outside monitor.

Why he might not be annoying:

He and his wife adopted the daughter of his terminally ill sister and the daughter of his wife's teenage sister.
He had a gentle bedside manner.
    He made house calls.
He was an early advocate of breastfeeding.
During the Scovill hearing, the Medical Board received over 100 letters from patients supporting Dr. Fleiss.
The Los Angeles Times called him 'everyone's favorite baby doctor.'
