    The Mariners didn't think too highly of him as a prospect and dealt him to the Astros after his rookie season.
    He had an ERA of 9.53 during his rookie season.
    He went from being a durable pitcher to injury prone in the later stages of his career.
    He failed to live up to the hype after signing a 8 year $121 million contract with the Rockies.
    He struggled pitching at Coors Field as a member of the Rockies, his record with the team was 21-28 in two seasons.

    He recorded a career high 22 wins (1999).
    He became the first player in Mets history to earn NLCS MVP honors (2000).
    He was one of few pitchers who could hit the ball consistently.
    He broke Greg Maddux's streak of eleven consecutive Gold Gloves.
    He is the first pitcher in MLB history to win a Gold Glove and a Silver Slugger award in the same season (2003).
