Why he might be annoying
He's a bland actor who plays bland characters.
He got his roles on JAG and NCIS because he is the stepson of the show's producer, Donald Belisario.
For some reason he has obtained dual U.S./Australian citizenship.
Why he might not be annoying
Despite getting his roles because of his relationship to Donald Belisario, he acts as a professional on set and doesn't ask for special treatment, interfere with other workers i.e., directors, producers, or complain about how his character is written.
He does in fact play his characters well.
He has inexplicably developed into the male sex symbol on NCIS which also has Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly in its cast.
