Why she might be annoying:

She would not wash her hair during a tournament until she lost.
Chris Evert called her unprofessional after she stormed off the court following her semi-final loss at Wimbledon, breaking protocol by not curtsying to the royal box and violating WTA rules by refusing to attend a post-match press conference (1984).
When she retired at the young age of 28, she declared 'I am too proud to be losing to players I should not be losing to.'
Her brief marriage to restaurateur Jan Sedlak (1986-89) was widely rumored to be a marriage of convenience, entered into solely so she could gain Australian citizenship.
She said that Martina Navratilova and other lesbian tennis players 'must have a chromosomic screw loose somewhere,' only to later become life partner to a female fitness trainer.

Why she might not be annoying:

Her father competed in track at the 1956 Olympics.
To win the 1985 US Open, she became the first person to beat Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova in the same tournament since Tracy Austin in 1981.
Tracy Austin said, 'Of all the players I competed against, Hana Mandlikova had the most talent.'
She coached Jana Novotna to a victory at Wimbledon (1998).
She said being pregnant with twins was more difficult than winning any of her Grand Slam titles.
