The Resume

    (July 18, 1915-September 6, 1985)
    Born in Saint Paul, Minnesota
Birth name was Mary Jane Frehse
Appeared in the films ‘Melody and Moonlight (1940),’ ‘San Antonio Rose (1941),’ ‘Moonlight Masquerade (1942),’ ‘Rhythm of the Islands (1943),’ ‘Swing in the Saddle (1944),’ ‘Ten Cents a Dance (1945),’ ‘Springtime in the Sierras (1947),’ ‘On the Old Spanish Trail (1947),’ ‘Under California Stars (1948),’ and ‘Rhythm Inn (1951)’
Half of the singing duo The Frazee Sisters (1921-40)

Why she might be annoying:

She married and divorced four times.
She and her sister Ruth split up their musical act after only one of them made a successful Hollywood screen test.
She turned down an offer from MGM because they lowballed her and signed with the B-movie circuit Republic Pictures instead because they offered her $100 more a week.
Some photos of her and Roy Rogers mistakenly identify her as Dale Evans (whose place she took after Dale started branching out into other roles).

Why she might not be annoying:

She starred in ‘Buck Privates’ with Abbott and Costello - one of Universal Studios’ biggest money makers for 1941.
She was in-demand and busy throughout the Forties (starring in six films in 1942 and eight in 1944).
She played the titular character in the 1944 musical ‘Rosie the Riveter’ (which, although it didn’t coin the name, widely popularized it).
She winded down her career with appearances on episodes of Adventures of Superman and Death Valley Days.
She started a successful real estate business after retiring from movie making.
She gets name-dropped in the first episode of The Honeymooners (‘TV or Not TV’) when Ralph and Ed settle on watching the fictional movie ‘Rhythm on Ice’ because she stars in it.
