Hockey Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

His name sounds close to that of Five For Fighting's John Ondrasik.
He spent the majority of his career on the Red Wing teams in the 'Dead Things' era.
He hated playing in Quebec City, to the point where he demanded a trade out of town after the end of the season.
His goal scoring abilities dropped off considerably by the time he was with the Rangers.
He returned to the Red Wings for his final NHL season, only to be buried on the team's depth chart for most of the season.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was one of the few bright spots on a lean Red Wings team in the early and mid-1980's.
He set a Red Wings franchise record (since broken) for most goals scored in a single season.
He led the Red Wings in scoring for six consecutive seasons.
Phil Esposito admitted he acquired him from Quebec as a way to keep Pittsburgh from trading for him in the early days of the Mario Lemieux era.
He served as the president of the Red Wings Alumni Association for a brief time following his retirement from active play.
