The Resume

    (April 27, 1902-July 19, 1984)
    Born in Kansas City, Missouri
Provided the voice of The Prince in 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' (1937)
Filmography included 'Broadway Melody of 1936,' 'Here Comes the Band,' and 'All Over Town'
    Father of Dean Stockwell

Why he might be annoying:

He lived in his son's shadow.
    His middle name was Bayless.
He performed in blackface for a part in Rhapsody in Blue which went uncredited.
He recorded a cover of a minstrelsy song written for Paul Robeson - 'Ah Still Suits Me.'
As the original Prince Charming for Disney, he had only two speaking lines (a grand total of 11 words).

Why he might not be annoying:

He succeeded Alfred Drake as Curly, the lead role in Broadway's 'Oklahoma!' - He remained in the role for five years until 1948.
Despite being the film's principal leads,  he and Adriana Caselotti were denied entry at the door when they showed up for the premiere of Snow White.
According to Caselotti, when they were asked for their tickets, she answered 'oh but I’m Snow White! And this is Prince Charming!’ to which the attendant replied, ‘I don’t care if you’re the Witch, you’re not going in without tickets!’ (they snuck in anyway when no one was looking).
In addition to providing the voice for the Prince, he also served as the physical model for the character's design and movements.
