His Major League career lasted 18 games.
His 18 games played were all starts for veteran pitcher Charlie Hough.
He spent the majority of his coaching career in the American League West.
Despite being considered the front runner for the Rangers managerial job following the firing of Buck Showalter, he was passed over in favor of Oakland A's infield coach Ron Washington.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is the first Asian-American field manager in MLB history.
His father, Leland, was born in the Tule Lake War Relocation Centre, an Asian concentration camp.
He earned Minor League Manager of the Year honors after guiding an Angels affiliate to the franchise's best season (1998).
He filled in as Rangers manager for Showalter for three games after the latter was ordered to sit out for dehydration.
Upon his hiring in Seattle, he individually met with the team's players to put to rest any speculation of rifts in the clubhouse.
