He was found guilty of DUI in Kennewick, Washington (2000).
He filed for bankruptcy.
He never managed a game as Arizona Diamondback manager.
The Diamondbacks failed to do a criminal or financial background check on him.
Because of him, the Diamondbacks now will do mandatory background checks before all major hires.
Diamondback owner Kendrick said he will get no compensation since he did not sign a contract.
