Internet Personality

The Resume

    (September 17, 1976- )
    Raised in Westport, Connecticut
Worked for video game specialty store called Cutting Edge Entertainment
Worked as an editor for 'GameWeek Magazine' (Wilton, CT)
Worked as a software developer for Activision in Santa Monica, California
Became a YouTube sensation for videos showing him dancing at different locations around the world, tilted 'Where the Hell is Matt?'
As of August 2010 his second video has been viewed on YouTube over 30,000,000 times

Why he might be annoying:

As a software game developer, he joked that 'shoot 'em up' games were popular.
His company began to develop 'Destroy All Humans!' (giving him conceptual credit), prompting him to quit, stating he 'didn't want to spend two years of my life writing a game about killing everyone.'
His videos are nothing more than him dancing (not the greatest) around several corners of the world, with ethnic electronica music playing in the background.
After his second video he switched music.
Since world travel is expensive, he sold out to sponsorship from Stride gum and Visa, who had him star in their 'Travel Happy' campaign.
He sarcastically claimed his videos were made using animatronic puppets and extensive video editing (Dec. 11, 2008), then a month later, after outraged viewers demanded an explanation, revealed what he said was nothing more than a 'hoax within a hoax.' (funny guy)

Why he might not be annoying:

He has several video game development credits to his name, including 1997's 'Zork: Grand Inquisitor,' and 2004's 'Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events.'
His dancing videos gave him a huge cult following, so he hired Creative Artists Agency to represent him.
He went from 20 locations in his first video, to 36 in his second, to 69 in his third.
In 2007, YouTube co-founder Jawed Karim stated Harding's 2006 video is his favorite posted to the site.
His third video has been featured twice by NASA on the 'Astronomy Picture of the Day' section of their website, titling it 'Happy People Dancing on Planet Earth.'
In 2010, he created a special edition dancing video for the FIFA World Cup in South Africa, cutting a rug at several locations there.
