The Resume

Owner of the Salon A la Mode in Dallas, Texas
Sentenced to seven days in jail and a $7,000 fine for opening her salon in violation of her state's lockdown order
Released from jail following Governor Greg Abbott's COVID-19 executive order amendment (May 7, 2020)

Why she might be annoying:

A GoFundMe was started for her.
She was accused of perpetuating a grandstanding publicity stunt to promote her business.
She has become the martyr for a movement many fear promotes armed civil unrest in the US.
She tore up a cease and desist letter in front of TV cameras during a protest of the emergency measures.
Her salon became a cause celebre among conservative firebrands, including Sarah Palin and Ted Cruz (both of whom made stops to patronize the business).
Much outrage over her interment negated the fact that she had been jailed not for reopening her business but because she was found by the judge to be in contempt of court.

Why she might not be annoying:

She is a professional makeup artist.
She observed the state's lockdown ordinances for the first month, but grew frustrated as the deadline kept getting extended.
She has worn personal protective equipment both while protesting and while at her salon.
She claimed part of her rationale for reopening was that several employees expressed the wish to go underground and do house visits (which is potentially more dangerous).
She was committed to a week in jail for refusing to grovel and apologize for being - according to the judge - 'selfish.'
She said: 'I have to disagree with you, sir, when you say that I’m selfish, because feeding my kids is not selfish. So, sir, if you think the law’s more important than kids getting fed, then please go ahead with your decision.'
She expressed interest in donating some of the $500,000 in GoFundMe donations to help other business owners jailed for reopening.
Her act of civil disobedience almost single-handedly made Governor Abbott reverse his executive order dictating confinement as a punishment for violations of social distancing measures and business closures.
Depending how you view her, she has the same last name as a monk who started the Protestant reformation or the Man of Steel's evil genius nemesis (although spelled with an 'o').
