The Resume

    Born in United States
    Resided in Aurora, Colorado
    Father of student Daxx Dalton
Influenced son to create a shirt that criticized Barack Obama
Received media attention when Daxx was suspended after wearing the shirt to school (September 2008)

Why he might be annoying:

It was his idea and influence to create a shirt with the words 'Obama is a terrorist’s best friend' and have his son Daxx wear it to school.
He claimed to be 'full of anti- Obama clichés' and chose the particular slogan for the shirt due to its powerful message.
He claimed that issues with the word 'terrorist' on a shirt were due to public school 'liberal loons' who were producing 'bed wetters'.
He stated that his son's school suspension regarding the shirt was a First Amendment speech violation, and those who value school policy over the U.S. Constitution should be 'slapped around'.
Despite his son's suspension being due to his behavior over the shirt incident, Dann stated that the school's action was 'a mistake and ridiculously uncalled for'.
He planned to sue the school district for issues which included free speech violations and missed work days during Daxx's suspension.

Why he might not be annoying:

He described himself as a 'proud conservative' who was unashamed of his beliefs and convictions.
He and his son created the shirt after the school requested that students wear patriotic colors to honor Vietnam War Medal of Honor winners.
He warned his son about probable criticism from others regarding his shirt's message.
A school official stated that some students were sensitive to the word 'terrorist' on the shirt due to the recent anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack.
He suggested that a shirt with a strong message against John McCain would not have received as much criticism.
He and his son's situation inspired discussion about adults' influence of political beliefs on children and the need for beliefs to include facts with opinions.
