    He worked in a call center for four years.
    He recalled about the pilot episode of his talk show, 'We had Ronnie Corbett on and I introduced him as Ronnie Barker.'
    Asked if he would follow in James Corden's footsteps and host an American TV show, he replied, 'They wouldn't know what to do with a voice and teeth like this.'
    After being named Best Entertainment Personality at the British Comedy Awards (2008), he dedicated the award to Karen Matthews, who had recently been convicted of kidnapping her daughter: 'She would be my dream guest.'
