Why they might be annoying:

Their music appeals mostly to middle aged stay-at-home soccer moms.
Due to their similar sound and the fact that they got popular around the same time, they are frequently confused with and compared to MercyMe.
Their music is overplayed on Christian rock radio.
They said that one of the ways they amuse themselves on tour is by having Andy show his bare belly.
Their name sounds similar to the band Counting Crows.
Scoggin has a hideous white afro.

Why they might not be annoying:

They are one of the most popular and well known Christian rock bands, with several gold and platinum albums and singles.
Hall and MercyMe lead singer Bart Millard poked fun at people constantly getting them mixed up, with Millard wearing a 'Not Casting Crowns' shirt and Hall wearing a 'Not MercyMe' shirt.
Former drummer Andy Williams died tragically in a motorcycle accident (2021).
Hall is a kidney cancer survivor.
They only tour a few days a week so they can spend time at home with their families and churches the rest of the week.
They were a small time student worship band from Florida who hit it big.
