Why he might be annoying:

He raised taxes as governor of Massachusetts, after promising not to.
George H. W. Bush beat him for president by a landslide (1988).
He was one of the first presidential candidates to be criticized for being too 'liberal.'
His presidential campaign was very badly run and helped contribute to his loss.
He took part in a badly timed photo-op riding a tank (see picture).
During a presidential debate he was asked if he would support the death penalty if his wife was raped and murdered, he responded 'No. I don't.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He received his law degree from Harvard.
He supports every American's right to unionize.
As governor, he helped Massachusetts get out of a serious financial crisis.
He is pro-choice.
He is married to the same woman since 1963.
He made a cameo appearance on 'Cheers (1982).'
