Why he might be annoying:

He looked like an older Barney Rubble.
He dropped out of school at 15, then lied about his age to join the Civilian Conservation Corps before reaching the minimum age.
As a professional boxer, his career record was a less than impressive six wins, ten losses and one draw.

(He claimed he was trying to protect Golota from members of Bowe’s entourage and any contact with the ref was inadvertent.)
He said, ‘I’ll sum up boxing for you in two words: ‘You never know.’’

Why he might not be annoying:

He trained 19 champions in various weight classes over the years.
He was fiercely devoted to his fighters.
