Why he might be annoying:

According to Alex Lifeson, Rutsey wrote lyrics for the songs on the debut album but never submitted them, 'so Geddy had to quickly put some lyrics together.'
He quit only a month before the start of Rush's first tour.
He quit music altogether after a failed attempt to start a new band.

Why he might not be annoying:

His brother came up with the band's name.
He left the band because his diabetes made it difficult to go on extended tours.
He became a bodybuilder and competed at the amateur level.
