Why he might be annoying:

He set the Finnish Elite League record for most penalty minutes in a single season.
He is overshadowed by his younger brother Tuomo.
Many hockey pundits consider his style of play to be dirty.
He allegedly bit fellow enforcer Andrew Peters on the thumb during a scuffle (January 2009).
He earned himself a two game suspension as a result.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is considered a gritty player, which is a rarity among European born players.
He attended Michigan Tech University and played a season with the school's hockey team in order to get a feel for the North American game.
He was a fan favorite in both Vancouver and Pittsburgh.
He frequently plays for his hometown country in international events.
He apologized for his actions and admitted to biting Peters shortly after his suspension was announced.
