He grew up as a Montreal Canadiens fan.
He tore the captain's ‘C' off his sweater in a fit of anger when Lanny McDonald was traded from the Leafs.
He had a horrible relationship with Leafs' management.
He went missing during the 1981/82 season and was traded to the Flyers.

He set a record for the most points in a single game (10).
He was the most popular Canadian athlete of the 1970's.
He scored the series winning over time goal in the first ever Canada Cup.
He was married to his wife Wendy for over 25 years, ending with her death from colon cancer.
