Best known as Anne Shirley in the 'Anne of Green Gables' series (1985-2000)
Acted in 'The Facts of Life (1982),' 'Stephen King's Silver Bullet (1985),' 'Under the Piano (1995),' 'The Outer Limits (1995),' 'The X Files (2001)' and 'CSI (2004)'

Why she might be annoying:

She insists that people pronounce her name 'MEE-gan.'
Her career didn't really take off after 'Anne of Green Gables' (and it still hasn't).
Fifteen years after the original, she made a sequel to 'Anne of Green Gables' that was hated by both critics and fans.
One critic slammed her performance in a production of 'Romeo & Juliet,' calling it 'Romeo & Anne.'
She renounced her Canadian citizenship, but continues to do much of her work there.

Why she might not be annoying:

Her parents divorced when she was a child.
After doing an 'Anne of Green Gables' movie, she burned the corset she wore for the part.
She has to put up with obsessive attention from 'Anne of Green Gables' fans.
She does a lot of fund raising for poor people in developing countries.
