Why he might be annoying:

He was one of 13 children in a blended family.
He was sparingly used by the Jets during his first couple seasons under Herman Edwards.
He was unable to maintain his spot as the Jets primary receiver during his last few years with the team.
He liked to showboat after scoring touchdowns.
He dropped three passes during Super Bowl 50, which was in contrast to his dominant performance during the regular season.

Why he might not be annoying:

He grew up in extreme poverty, and used that as his motivation to succeed in the NFL.
He was born with a sixth finger (since removed) on his left hand.
He survived a serious car crash at the age of 16, which caused severe lacerations to his arms and hands (1998).
He and his wife adopted five children, including a set of twins.
He was one of Cam Newton's primary receivers during his tenure with the Panthers.
