Why he might be annoying:

In his WWF days, he kept changing from face to heel so many times that fans never knew when to take him seriously.
He left wrestling in the 90's to run a bowling alley only to come back to WCW for one last run, showing that he just didn't have it anymore.
His theme song in WCW is one of the worst in wrestling history.
He's known to bash people in interviews, including Bret Hart, who he believes didn't deserve to win the WWE Heavyweight Title.
During his hiatus from the sport, a paper in Florida posted his obituary.

Why he might not be annoying:

He didn't take time off to let his arm heal during his top run as a heel against Hulk Hogan, so one of his arms is noticeably smaller than the other.
He was one of the biggest wrestlers of the 80's.
He was respected for being able to work through an injury.
He was in the main event of the first WrestleMania, a match that went on to be named Match of the Year in PWI in 1985.
His feud with Hulk Hogan was a huge draw that made a ton of money and it was the first feud to win PWI's Feud of the Year award in 1986, the same year he was Most Hated Wrestling of the Year.
After his retirement, he ran WCW's Power Plant, WCW's wrestling school that trained many wrestlers that went on to become big names, including Bill Goldberg.
He's ranked #15 in Total Wrestling Magazine's 100 Greatest Heels of All-Time.
WWE named him of the 50 greatest wrestlers in the history of the company.
