Whacked in Brooklyn via shotgun by ski masked hit men while dining at Joe and Mary's Italian Restaurant at age 69

Why he might be annoying:

He spent the 1930s behind bars for attempted murder of a policeman and the wounding of a 6-year-old girl during a gun battle.
He carried out hits for Mafia crime boss Vito Genovese during the 1940s and '50s and ordered hits during the 1970s.
He spent 12 years in prison for a narcotics violation (1962-74).
He set-up 'Lilo's Law' in prison, where guards catered to him.
He regularly told hardened black inmates to 'get the fuck out of my way, nigger.'
When his heroin shipments came in he would test its purity by kidnapping a black junkie, injecting him and see how comatose he became.
He wanted to control not just the Bonanno family but all the New York Mafia families.
His ambition as would-be 'boss of bosses' was the reason the other families jointly put a contract out on his life.

Why he might not be annoying:

Besides English, he was fluent in French, Spanish and Italian.
He married his childhood sweetheart in 1945 and the marriage lasted 34 years until his death.
He tried (unsuccessfully) to have his favorite daughter and part-time chauffer Nina be accepted as the very first female 'button man' (made Mafia member).
True to his nickname, a cigar was still clenched in his teeth after his murder was carried out (see picture).
